Paul Ryan Mocked as ‘Loser’ After Former House Speaker Says He’ll Skip RNC If Trump Wins the Nomination

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan said he will not attend the Republican National Convention (RNC) in 2024 if Donald Trump wins the GOP nomination for President.

In an interview with WISN-TV, Ryan stated the only chance he’d be in the presence of the RNC is if somebody other than Trump were nominated.

Making him literally a ‘never Trumper.’

“It depends on who the nominee is. I’ll be here if it’s someone not named Trump,” he said in the interview.

The RNC is planned for mid-July at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ryan is a native of and served in Congress representing the Badger State.

“I’m not interested in participating in that, no,” he added. “Even in Wisconsin.”

Nothing demonstrates leadership and the courage of one’s conservative convictions quite like taking your ball and going home.

Paul Ryan’s decision not to attend the RNC if Republican voters choose Trump is, perhaps in his own mind, brave and stunning.

To the rest of us, it’s that same loser attitude that led to Trump being torn apart by Democrats and the media his entire first term. Because ‘never Trumpers’ don’t fight for anything other than themselves.

That same loser attitude leads to them siding with Democrats in the interest of ‘bipartisanship’ when Democrats never side with Republicans.

And it took all of about three minutes for Trump to point out what a ‘loser’ Ryan is.

“Paul Ryan is a loser, Mitt Romney could have won without him,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social media platform.

“Paul Ryan is destroying Fox, and couldn’t get elected dogcatcher in the Republican Party!”

In his interview with WISN-TV, Ryan continued to attack Trump, accusing him of effectively being a loser himself.

“The reason I don’t think he’ll be our nominee is that we know we’re going to lose with him,” he said.

“He cost us the House in ’18, he lost the White House in ’20, he cost us the Senate in ’20, he cost us the Senate again in 2022, and he cost us probably a good dozen House seats in 2022,” continued Ryan.

“This is a lesson we don’t need to repeat again.”

Paul Ryan has been on a personal crusade against Trump and it doesn’t just involve boycotting the RNC.

As a member of the Fox News board of directors, Ryan, according to court documents in the Dominion lawsuit, urged the network’s owners to pivot away from Trump in the months following the 2020 election.

He pressed Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch to “move on from Donald Trump and stop spouting lies.”

The former House Speaker’s criticism of Trump costing candidates elections is rich considering he spent much of 2020 campaigning and contributing to people solely based on their efforts to impeach.

And they too were losers.

Former Representative Tom Rice (SC), who Ryan heralded as having “the guts” to impeach Trump, got hammered in his re-election bid after the endorsement.

Ryan also supported the campaign efforts of former Representative Liz Cheney. And we all know what happened there.

Ryan further solidified his status as ‘loser’ after admitting he “found himself sobbing” as he watched the January 6 riot at the Capitol unfold.

Ryan stated of the events at the Capitol: “I was horrified.”

Come on, now. AOC thinks you’re being a little dramatic, Paul.

Trump has referred to Ryan as a “curse to the Republican Party” after he advised the GOP to steer clear of the former president and the “populist appeal of one personality.”

“He has no clue as to what needs to be done for our Country, was a weak and ineffective leader, and spends all of his time-fighting Republicans as opposed to Democrats who are destroying our Country,” Trump fired back.
