Trump, Melania Send Christmas Presents To Little Girl Injured By Tornado

Former President Donald Trump and former first lady Melania Trump sent Christmas presents to a little girl who was injured by a tornado earlier this month, according to the Daily Mail.

The Trumps sent gifts to Avalinn Rackley, a seven-year-old from Caruthersville, Missouri, the Daily Mail reported Tuesday. The little girl, her parents and younger sister were all injured by the tornado, which destroyed their home. In addition, the tornado killed Rackley’s older sister, Annistyn.

Rackley’s grandmother, Pamela Moore shared a video to her Facebook page informing the little girl that her gifts were sent by the former president and first lady.

“Both of these boxes are from President Trump. Can you believe it?” Moore said. “Oh my God,” Rackley responded.

Moore also posted a photo of a letter from the Trumps, indicating that the packages contained “hats signed by Donald Trump, Presidential blankets, American Girl Dolls, books signed by President Trump and Melania, pens, bracelets, and so much more!”

The letter, which was addressed to Avalinn and was signed by the Trumps, in part, read, “We are so encouraged by the strength and determination you have shown during this very difficult time. You will remain in our hearts for complete care and comfort as you continue to recover.”

The tornado that impacted the Rackley family touched down through several states, including Kentucky. In Kentucky alone, 74 people were killed.

Rackley’s nine-year-old sister, Annistyn, who was also killed by the tornado, was found yards away from their Missouri home. The family had attempted to take shelter in their bathroom.
