A former adviser to President Donald Trump has been sentenced to four months in jail for defying a subpoena from the partisan committee Nancy Pelosi set up to review the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol, and try to pin the blame on President Trump.
It was partisan because only those who were approved by the then-House speaker got on the committee. It spent months revealing carefully selected evidence casting Trump in a bad light, and ignored entirely Pelosi’s own culpability for the events that day, as she was key to refusing an offer from Trump to have more National Guard troops on duty there.
Reports confirm former White House adviser Peter Navarro was sentenced to four months for criminal contempt.
District Judge Amit Mehta apparently rejected arguments from Navarro’s lawyers that he had accepted responsibility for his actions.
”I haven’t heard a word of contrition from Dr. Navarro since this case began,” Mehta claimed during the hearing.
”Maybe we’ll hear some today, I suspect not.”
The prosecution has been described by multiple interested parties as a political prosecution, as Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, also publicly has snubbed a congressional subpoena, so far without any consequences whatsoever.
The prosecutors claimed, as they have in many cases involving Trump advocates, that Navarro chose allegiance to Trump over what they called the “rule of law.”
Navarro’s reasoning included that he couldn’t comply with the committee’s demands because Trump had asserted executive privilege over his testimony.
Pelosi’s politicized committee demanded Navarro give members information in 2022, regarding efforts about spreading what the government has called “disinformation” about the 2020 election.
What is known about that election is that it was subject to the undue influence of $400 million plus that Mark Zuckerberg gave to various elections officials, who often used it to recruit Democrat voters.
Further, the FBI interfered by telling media conglomerates to suppress information about Biden family scandals uncovered in a laptop computer abandoned by Hunter Biden. They claimed it was Russian disinformation, all the while knowing it was accurate.
The ruling still could be appealed.
WND reported only days ago that Navarro revealed who Deep State in America, those lifelong bureaucrats who make many of government's decisions, as well as their cronies in private industry, fear former President Trump, and that's why there's such an agenda of hate against him.
Navarro was interviewed by Tucker Carlson.

He declined to report to the partisan and anti-Trump January 6 committee assembled by Pelosi, a committee that refused even to consider her culpability as she was part of the decision-making process that refused Trump's offer of additional troops to be at the U.S. Capitol that day.
Navarro told Carlson:
The real story here really goes back to 2016. I think you know this Tucker, but I was one of the very few people who was with the president all the way from the 2016 campaign until the end of his first term and I saw from the get-go the attempt basically to interfere with the election prior to the 2016 election by the Justice Department, the FBI, Clinton campaign and then throughout the term.
I mean it was just one thing after another where they tried to overthrow the Trump administration. Impeachment one, impeachment two, Russian hoax this, Russian hoax that. What it's about really is stopping Donald Trump from standing up for the American people.
