The FBI is racing to “identify and assess” more than a dozen illegal immigrants after officials found out that they crossed the southern border with the aid of a smuggler with ties to the terrorist group ISIS.
The stunning report comes from CNN, which cites multiple sources who state that the individuals who gained access to the United States through Mexico are also being investigated as “possible criminal threats.”
The outlet cautions that no specific ISIS plot has been identified by federal officials.
The illegals that came with the aid of the ISIS-linked smuggler were identified as coming from Uzbekistan, a landlocked country located in Central Asia.
“Intelligence reporting alerted us to a human smuggling network working to facilitate the travel of Uzbek nationals to the United States,” White House National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson said in a statement to Fox News.
Watson added that one member of that human smuggling network had “a connection to a foreign terrorist organization.”
She stressed that the Biden administration is using “the full suite of law enforcement tools” to ensure that the individuals are not a threat to public safety.
Illegals Aided In Crossing Border By Smuggler With ISIS Ties
This latest report about illegal immigrants crossing the southern border with the help of a smuggler linked to ISIS destroys a couple of Democrat and media narratives that have been propped up over the years.
First up, the idea that reports on those detained at the border being on the terror watchlist is proof that the system is working to keep those bad actors out of the country.
Democrats have consistently spun reports of illegals being identified at the border on the terror watchlist as evidence that the Biden administration is successfully flagging such threats.
The fact that the FBI is now scrambling to “identify and assess” these current criminal threats squashes that idea.

The CNN report also puts to bed the notion that there is no terror threat at the border at all, and if there were, the Biden administration is on top of things. They aren’t.
In fact, it’s almost amusing how CNN reports on the fact that this latest incident is “raising alarm bells across government.” Are they actually shocked by something Republicans have been warning about for years? Like, they were completely caught off guard by the situation?
“The episode was so alarming that an urgent classified intelligence report was circulated to President Joe Biden’s top Cabinet officials in their morning briefing book,” they fret. “For some counterterrorism officials, it shows that the US is deeply vulnerable to the possibility that terrorists could sneak across the southern border by hiding amid the surge of migrants entering the country in search of asylum.”
The U.S. has been “deeply vulnerable” to such a threat for years now, exacerbated by President Biden’s open-borders policies. Republicans have been warning that terrorists could be hiding among legitimate asylum seekers and their families.
The Biden presidency – reactive to every crisis and rewriting the facts for the media. Never proactive in defense of America.

ISIS Has Been Planning This For Years
Now that we know the Biden administration has been, contrary to what Democrats and the media have said, unsuccessful at stopping every potential terror threat from coming across the border, let’s analyze how long this may have been happening.
A report that surfaced in 2019 shows ISIS was plotting to smuggle English-speaking terrorists through the Mexican border to carry out a financial attack that would “cripple” the U.S. economy.
The plan was revealed when one of the recruits backed out. That individual said that they were recruited by ISIS all the way back in 2016.
“They have their system of doing it,” he said. “It wasn’t me alone. They were sending you to Puerto Rico and from Puerto Rico [to Mexico].”

So, if ISIS was plotting to get their people into the United States at least as far back as 2016, how many do you think successfully made it into the country in the seven years since?

Following a report in January that hundreds of thousands of “gotaways” had made it across the border, former President Donald Trump vowed to send illegal immigrants “straight back home.”
“They’re sending people that are killers, murderers, they’re sending rapists, and they’re sending, frankly, terrorists or terrorists are coming on their own, and frankly we can’t allow this to happen,” said Trump.
“So the illegal border crossers are going to be sent straight back home,” he added. “Those bad ones, especially, and they’re gonna go fast.”
CNN reports that administration officials view the ISIS-linked illegal immigrant report as an example of their system working even though “the U.S. has not yet located all of the individuals who traveled as part of the network.”
Criminals rob the bank, wave guns in the face of the tellers, but don’t worry, we’re going to find them all at some point down the line.
What a plan.
