Trump Reveals Exactly Why the Deep State is Desperate to Stop Him

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump warned that the United States is accelerating toward another World War and suggested “deep state” actors were gunning for him since he vowed to end the conflict in Ukraine.

Trump’s comments came during his first campaign rally of 2024 this past weekend in Waco, Texas.

“This will be a war like no other,” he cautioned, echoing sentiments he’s held in the past about the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Trump suggested he had a good working relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin and the latter “never even talked about” invading Ukraine during his first term in office.

“And it’s no coincidence that the deep state is coming after me even harder since I pledged to swiftly end the war in Ukraine,” he surmised.

Donald Trump’s comments also come after a tumultuous week in which the media salivated over the prospect of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicting him for alleged ‘hush money’ payments to porn actress Stormy Daniels.

The ‘gotcha’ moment swiftly fell into disarray when, as The Political Insider reported, a grand jury that had been expected to issue the indictment had a meeting canceled and a letter surfaced claiming Trump never reimbursed his lawyer for the payments to Daniels.

Trump reportedly told reporters on his way to the Waco campaign rally that Bragg had “dropped” the investigation.

“I think they’ve already dropped the case,” Trump had said. “It’s a fake case. Some fake cases, they have absolutely nothing.”

If Bragg continues to pursue the frivolous case, it would mark the first time in history that a presidential candidate would face criminal charges.

Trump has repeatedly accused President Biden of accelerating the U.S. toward World War III and was the first GOP candidate for the White House to call for peace in Ukraine.

Following an announcement from Biden that he was providing Ukraine with tanks, Trump called out the administration’s effort to incite Russia.

“First come the tanks, then come the nukes!” he wrote on social media.

He’s even offered to negotiate peace in the region.

“It’s far past the time for all parties involved to pursue a peaceful end to the war in Ukraine before this horrific catastrophe spirals out of control and leads to World War III,” Trump added in a campaign video.

“We must end this ridiculous war and demand peace in Ukraine now before it gets worse.”

Trump’s chief rival for the GOP nomination, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. has himself suggested the invasion of Ukraine is not a vital national interest for America and said “peace should be the objective” in the region – though he would later backtrack and make more establishment-friendly comments about the war:
