WATCH: WH Senior Adviser Says ‘Hate Filled MAGA Agenda’ Has ‘No Place in a Democracy’

Bottoms made the remarks during an appearance on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday.

The White House has been continuously doubling down since Joe Biden's ominous "Battle for the Soul of the Nation" speech on Thursday when he declared the 74 million people who voted for his opponents as extremists. He said that the "MAGA Republicans" who oppose him "present a "clear and present danger to our democracy" and "threat to this country."

Discussing the speech, Bottoms told host Martha Raddatz that the "MAGA Republican" agenda has "no place in a democracy."

"This MAGA Republican agenda, this hate-filled agenda ... that we saw incite violence on our nation's Capitol has no place in a democracy," Bottoms said. "And if we are not intentional about calling it out, which is what the president did, then our country, everything that our country is built upon, is in danger."

Bottoms also continued the narrative about the "mainstream" Republicans who are willing to pass Democrat legislation being the good guys.

"What the president has said is that mainstream Republicans, independents, Democrats can all come together," she said. "We've seen us come together to do what's right on behalf of the American people."

The "MAGA agenda," Bottoms said, has "been about distorting the truth" and "misleading people."

"What the president has done as our commander in chief is he's reminded us that democracies are fragile," she said. "And if we are not intentional about preserving who we are as a country, if we are not intentional about reminding ourselves that there is a rule of law in this country, then we will be in danger."

During a speech in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Trump fired back at Biden and declared him an "enemy of the state."

"You're all enemies of the state," Trump said. "He's an enemy of the state if you want to know the truth. The enemy of the state is him and the group that controls him, which is circling around him. ‘Do this, do that, Joe.'"

"How'd you like the red lighting behind him like the devil?" Trump asked.

Trump had previously responded to Biden's speech in a series of posts on Truth Social, speculating that Biden "must be insane or suffering from late stage dementia."

"Someone should explain to Joe Biden, slowly but passionately, that MAGA means, as powerfully as mere words can get, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" Trump wrote in one of the posts. "If he doesn't want to Make America Great Again, which through words, action, and thought, he doesn't, then he certainly should not be representing the United States of America!"

"If you look at the words and meaning of the awkward and angry Biden speech tonight, he threatened America, including with the possible use of military force. He must be insane, or suffering from late-stage dementia!" Trump continued in another post.
