Fox News reporter Peter Doocy on Monday torched White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre over Joe Biden’s disastrous trip to Saudi Arabia.
For starters, Joe Biden went back on his promise not to meet with Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
“I’m not going to meet with MBS. I’m going to an international meeting, and he’s going to be part of it,” Biden said last month.
Biden was greeted with a fist bump when he arrived to Alsalam Royal Palace in Jeddah.
The Saudis told Biden to pound sand after he begged for oil.
On Saturday the Saudi Minister of State told CNN that the regime refused to commit to boosting oil production.
Joe Biden arrived to Joint Base Andrews Saturday evening at 11:25 pm ET empty-handed.
After begging the Saudis for oil, the price of oil per barrel spiked on Monday.
Peter Doocy grilled Karine Jean-Pierre and she could barely defend Joe Biden.
“But, so, ultimately, we get back from this trip. There’s no new peace talks in the Middle East. There’s no new commitment to increase oil production in the Gulf. So, what was the point of this trip?” Peter Doocy asked KJP.
Karine Jean-Pierre responded with a word salad.

Peter Doocy pushed back on Karine Jean-Pierre.
“Why not insist on a commitment, though? He gets back without a commitment and the price of oil per barrel shot up? Is that what the President wanted? To go there and have the price of oil more expensive?” Doocy said.
“We have seen gas prices go down in the past 34 straight days.” Karine Jean-Pierre said.

“Aren’t they still $2 per gallon higher than when you took office though?” Doocy said.
Jean-Pierre responded by blaming Russia: “First of all, we have to look at how we got there…the war that Russia has taken on in Ukraine… and also, we are also in a once of a generation pandemic.”
