The Republicans are going to win a narrow victory in the Georgia runoff elections this Tuesday, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said on Sunday.
Speaking on "The Cats Roundtable" radio show on WABC 770 AM, Gingrich said the difference in the race should result from President Donald Trump’s appearance at a rally the state Monday night to help boost GOP turnout.
He stressed that, “this is the most impactful runoff in American history… It will really change history more than any election of its kind I can ever remember.”
Gingrich cautioned that “If the Republicans retain control, they will moderate and slow down virtually everything that [President-elect Joe] Biden and Kamala Harris want to do. But if the Democrats pick up those two seats and they are in control, I think you’lll see tax increases, the district of Columbia becoming a state with two Democratic senators, probably an effort to pack the Supreme Court with liberals."
He said that “My hunch is that the Republicans are going to win… by one or two points each.”
